Hi, I'm Thomas

I'm a runner, dad, and full-stack software engineer based in the NYC area. I've been running for about 20 years — mostly on trails doing ultramarathons, but with plenty of road races mixed in too: 5Ks, half marathons, and fulls.

Over the years I kept a mental list of everything that actually helped me prepare for a race: a structured plan that worked backwards from race day, knowing my training paces, finding good routes, staying consistent. The problem was that it was always spread across five different tools — or just stuck in my head.

I'm an engineer by day, so I built Plan Your Run to bring all of that into one place. Not as a startup — just as something I wanted to exist. If it helps you get to your finish line too, that's the whole point.

What's included

Personalized Training Plans

Enter your race distance, date, and weekly mileage. PYR builds a structured week-by-week plan that peaks at the right time and tapers before race day.

Pace Zones from Your Fitness

Enter a recent race result and PYR calculates your VDOT score — deriving personalized Easy, Tempo, and Interval paces calibrated to where you are right now.

Progress Tracking

Check off workouts as you complete them. Your dashboard tracks weekly mileage, training load over time, and workout type breakdowns. Need to adjust? Regenerate your plan at any time — completed workouts stay as-is, remaining ones update automatically.

Route Finding

Find nearby running routes or draw your own on an interactive map. Save favourites to a personal library and attach routes directly to workouts.

Export Your Plan

Download your training plan as a PDF or CSV to print or share. Your plan stays saved in the app so you can always come back to it.

AI Coach

Ask questions about your plan, pacing strategy, or how to handle a missed week. Get answers that take your actual training schedule into account.

Choose your race distance, target date, and current weekly mileage. Optionally add a recent race result to calibrate your training paces.

Get your plan instantly

PYR builds a complete week-by-week schedule — easy runs, tempo sessions, intervals, long runs, and rest days — laid out on a calendar and ready to follow.

Track, adjust, and race

Log completed workouts, attach routes to your runs, and export your plan. Edit individual events manually or tweak your configuration and regenerate — completed workouts are preserved, everything else adapts.

Your data is yours

Plan Your Run uses Google Sign-In for authentication and stores your training plans securely. We never sell your information or share it with third parties. Full stop.
